Witch for 23 years, a Reclaiming-trained witch for 15 years. I initiated BC (British Columbia) Witch Camp in 1987, organized it, and now part of a 5-person organizing team.  I am passionate about building and maintaining an interactive year-round BCWC Reclaiming Community. I've also served as community teacher in Vancouver since 1987 with other Reclaiming-trained folks, as well as student taught at Vermont Witchcamp. Being trained in the RecIaiming-Tradition since 1995, I'm a European Reclaiming Witchcamp-Teacher and co-founder of the European Loreley-Witchcamp. Besides my spiritual training I also bring my experience as a researcher, social scientist, teacher in the adult education for more than thirteen years and my further education in resource-oriented, systemic therapy into the magical cauldron. I've been a practicing witch for twenty years, and have been involved with Reclaiming for most of that time. I also work in other magical traditions, such as Gardnerian, Feri, and Nine Sisters. I consider myself eclectic and am committed to interfaith as well as inter-tradition work. Aspecting - I love to teach workshops on aspecting techniques, exploring the many ways this can be approached, and learning to make contracts and commitments about how deep you want to work. Acting in Ritual - I teach day long or ongoing classes in acting techniques for use in ritual. We learn to make things real in the moment, and how to use our voices and bodies and movement to help focus ourselves and the energy in a ritual.
Anchoring - This is the technique of deep witnessing and helping create the container for rituals. This is simple but powerful work, and really helps rituals.
Music and Magic - There are ways that music or sound can be used in ritual that make for powerful tools. I know a wealth of songs and chants that can be used in ritual too.

My greatest dream is to see a strong Reclaiming community in the Midwest, and I am particularly interested in helping folks in areas that are far from a Reclaiming presence get started, since I've been in the same predicament before. I'm most interested in traveling to communities to teach the core classes, mentor an organizing team or individual, or whatever best suits the local community's needs. I've been in Dreamweaving (the organizers of the Midwest Witchcamp) for four years, and I've been working hard to build a Reclaiming community in Chicago and central Illinois. I am an artist, a gardener, and a Witch. I have been involved with spirit work for over a quarter century, first getting involved with Witch Craft in 1980 after exploring Queer Spirit, and the Neolithic Old European and Native American cultures. I'm a lifelong practitioner of weatherwork and animal communication who only discovered the traditions of witchcraft in the mid-1990s. My toolbox includes mechanical engineering, caring for Alzheimer's patients, Reiki training, and a recent MA in Spiritual Psychology. Nowadays I'm mother, step-mother, and grandmother--no longer am I daughter to any blood kin. After writing for Reclaiming Quarterly and teaching and facilitating for several years, on the eve of Mabon 2003 I changed my name from Maggie nicAllis to NorthLight. I am a shower-singing acupuncturist, performing artist, activist and witch and the co-founder of The Enchanted Spiral, our homegrown Reclaiming community in New Mexico. I have been teaching core classes and other original workshops in my own community for two years and have also helped to foster the juicy development of several other communities. I've called myself witch for ten years and recently have joined the team of organizers for the Midwest Witchcamp.
