includes listings for other California communities

Reclaiming Bay Area groups celebrate the Wheel of the Year, a cycle of eight seasonal sabbats.

This page of ritual listings is for the Northern California Bay Area. For something closer to home, check out "Find Us Worldwide".

All Reclaiming rituals are "clean and sober" - ie, please use no recreational drugs or alcohol at or prior to the events.

Rituals are listed according to closest upcoming date.

This information is tentative - please check back the week of the ritual for final details.

Sunday 21 September. Gather 3:30pm, ritual 4pm. $7-21 requested donation.

Location TBA - visit www.northbayreclaiming.com

We are looking forward to our North Bay Equinox gathering. We've planned something quite unique as we have partnered with The Ceres Project in Sebastopol and will be donating the proceeds from the event to their excellent program.

You can learn more about The Ceres Project by visiting their at www.ceresproject.org.

In a nutshell, their mission is to support individuals dealing with serious illness with free, delivered and nutrient-rich prepared meals, nutrition education, and building a community of caring.

- They Involve young people as volunteer gardeners and chefs, giving them direct, hands-on experience of the difference that fresh, healthy foods and community make, and of their own capacity to contribute.

- They work to educate the broader community, including health professionals, about the connection between fresh, healthy food, strong social networks, healing and wellness.

We believe that supporting The Ceres project is in line with the core values of Reclaiming and is an act of activism and compassion we can stand behind.

Our gathering begins at 4:00pm, gather at 3:30pm. Suggested donation is $7-$21 but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. All ages welcome to our clean and sober event.

As the darkness closes in, come dance the spiral that renews the world.

Join us when the veil is thin between the worlds of the living and the dead. We gather to remember our ancestors, our beloved dead, and all those who have crossed over.

The Spiral Dance is San Francisco Reclaiming's public Halloween ritual. For Witches, this is a sacred season, when we honor our ancestors and our Beloved Dead, and our New Year, affirming the renewal of life.

The Spiral Dance is also Reclaiming's largest, most spectacular public ritual, bringing together art, music, poetry, and dance in Sacred Space. Not just a performance - everyone participates in dancing the Spiral.

Join us as we celebrate over three decades of magic, ritual, and activism in San Francisco and beyond. This family-oriented ritual is also drug and alcohol free. All are welcome.

Much help is needed to produce this wonderful annual community event. Click here for details.

General Admission: $20-$100+ sliding scale. This ritual is Bay Area Reclaiming's largest fundraiser for the year, and supports many of our other activities, courses, rituals, and resources. Volunteers are also needed - see below.

Workshop: "Mother Earth's Transition Team"

The dire reality of climate change challenges us to remake society... quickly. If we fail, we'll suffer destruction on a global scale. But this threat is also a great opportunity to create a new world rooted in community and ecological balance. How do we join Mother Earth's Transition Team? What shifts are needed and what actions do we need to take? How do we nurture resilient communities locally and create justice globally to heal our world?

Ritual: "Solstice Spiral Dance to Celebrate the Longest Night"

After the workshop and a delicious organic meal, we will anticipate the longest night of the year with a Winter's Dream ritual and Spiral Dance led by Starhawk and Reclaiming LA. Join us in sacred space as we dance the spiral, celebrate community, and rebirth our selves and our world. (In support of those in recovery, this ritual is drug and alcohol free.)
